Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • 1/4 tsp. mace
  • 2 celery sticks, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 large can tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 small can tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef with salt, pepper, and cumin in a skillet.
  2. Saute and combine the chopped onion, chopped celery, and chopped green pepper.
  3. Add flour to the mixture to help make the sauce.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato sauce, and mace.
  5. Simmer the mixture for 30 minutes.
  6. Serve the stew over toast with hash brown potatoes.
