Nippersink Prune Cake

- Beat together 1 1/2 cups sugar, eggs and oil until well blended.
- Sift together the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and 1 teaspoon soda.
- Add this to the blended egg mixture alternately with 1/2 cup buttermilk.
- Add prunes, nuts and vanilla.
- Bake in a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan at 300° for 1 hour.
