Ingredients

  • 2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 2 c. rolled oats
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. molasses
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, baking powder, and soda in a bowl.
  2. Cream the brown sugar and margarine until smooth.
  3. Add the rolled oats, eggs, molasses, and milk to the creamed mixture and beat well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, beating until well blended.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown.
