Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • dash of salt
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Mix butter, sugar, eggs, applesauce, and cinnamon together in a bowl.
  2. Sift flour, baking soda, and salt together in a separate bowl.
  3. Add oatmeal to the flour mixture and then combine with the wet ingredients.
  4. Stir in raisins and nuts if using.
  5. Drop teaspoonfuls of dough onto a greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes until golden.
