Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup cooking oil
  • salt
  • 2 cups All-Bran
  • 2 cups natural bran
  • 2 cups bran flakes
  • 2 cups raisins
  • 4 cups buttermilk
  • 4 cups flour
  • 5 teaspoons soda
  • 2 cups boiling water

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, eggs, cooking oil, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Add All-Bran, natural bran, bran flakes, raisins, buttermilk, and 4 cups of flour.
  4. Mix thoroughly.
  5. In a separate small bowl, mix soda with 2 cups of boiling water.
  6. Add the soda-water mixture to the batter and mix all together.
  7. Cover and leave overnight in the refrigerator.
  8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes.
