Ingredients
- 1 pt. low-fat cottage cheese ⓘ
- 6 oz. Blue cheese ⓘ
- 3 envelopes active dry yeast ⓘ
- 3/4 c. warm water ⓘ
- 2 1/4 c. low-fat milk ⓘ
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped ⓘ
- 3 Tbsp. margarine ⓘ
- 3 tsp. sugar ⓘ
- 3 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 3 tsp. dill weed ⓘ
- 1 c. fresh chopped parsley ⓘ
- 3 eggs ⓘ
- 6 to 8 c. Stone Buhr unbleached whole wheat flour ⓘ
Instructions
- Soften yeast in warm water in a large mixing bowl.
- Care should be exercised to ensure water is not too warm or you will kill the yeast.
- Scald the milk.
- Add cheeses, chopped onion, and margarine. Stir until the mixture is entirely blended.
- Add sugar, salt, dill weed, and chopped parsley.
- Cool the mixture and add it to the yeast along with the eggs and at least 1 cup of flour.
- Mix with a continuous motion, adding flour until the entire mixture is well combined but not too stiff.
