Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanuts or pecans

Instructions

  1. Cream the peanut butter, margarine, brown sugar, sugar, and vanilla in a large mixer bowl; beat in eggs.
  2. Combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, and soda in a separate bowl.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, mixing well.
  4. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts.
  5. Spread the batter in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to 40 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
