Pizza Pot Pie
A savory pizza pot pie combining ground beef, mushrooms, pepperoni, and cheese inside a flaky crust, perfect for comforting family dinners or casual gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion ⓘ
- 2 garlic cloves, minced ⓘ
- 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms ⓘ
- 1/2 lb pepperoni, diced in 1/4-inch cubes ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon basil ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano ⓘ
- 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes ⓘ
- 1 cup shredded Mozzarella ⓘ
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan ⓘ
- 1/2 lb tomatoes, sliced ⓘ
- 1 package Pillsbury All-Ready pie crusts for 9-inch pie ⓘ
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, sauté the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, and sliced mushrooms until the meat is browned and the mushrooms are tender.
- Add the diced pepperoni, basil, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
- Turn the meat mixture into an 8 or 9-inch pie pan lined with one pie crust.
- Top the meat mixture with half of the grated Parmesan and the shredded Mozzarella cheese.
- Cover evenly with the tomato slices and sprinkle the remaining Parmesan on top.
- Cover with the second pie crust, flute the edges, and make vents to allow steam to escape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
