- Stir-fry strips of beef in 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a Dutch oven.
- When the beef is cooked, remove it to a bowl and set aside.
- Add more oil to the Dutch oven if needed, then stir-fry the tomatoes, green peppers, onion, and mushrooms until tender.
- Season the vegetables with soy sauce, hot pepper sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Return the cooked beef and add the can of Chinese vegetables to the Dutch oven.
- Thicken the sauce with cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons of water.
- Serve the stir-fry over cooked instant rice.
