Ingredients

  • 4 cups sliced cooked potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese or American process cheese
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup diced ham

Instructions

  1. Arrange potato slices in a 2-quart baking dish and set aside.
  2. Combine butter and chopped onion in a 2-quart measure.
  3. Microwave the butter and onion mixture for 3 minutes on High until the onion is transparent.
  4. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, curry powder, shredded cheese, and milk.
  5. Microwave the mixture for 3 to 4 minutes on High until hot and cheese is melted.
  6. Stir in diced ham.
  7. Pour the sauce over the arranged potatoes.
  8. Microwave for 6 to 8 minutes on Power Level 6 or until the potatoes are heated through.
