Ingredients

  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. pumpkin
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. nuts

Instructions

  1. Mix brown sugar, pumpkin, shortening, and vanilla in a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, soda, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until combined.
  4. Fold in raisins and nuts.
