Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread, broken
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 heaping tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • chunk of butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup raisins, soaked

Instructions

  2. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake in the oven until dry and golden.
  3. Prepare the sauce by combining brown sugar, 2 heaping tablespoons flour, boiling water, a chunk of butter, and vanilla. Bring to a boil and cook until thickened.
  4. Add soaked raisins to the pudding or serve alongside as garnish.
