Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2/3 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 can whole tomatoes
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup Heinz steak sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • cooked hot buttered noodles

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, grated cheese, bread crumbs, milk, and lightly beaten egg; mix well and form into about 20 meatballs.
  2. Brown the meatballs in a large pan with vegetable oil, then cook and drain excess fat.
  3. Sprinkle flour over the meatballs, stirring gently to coat.
  4. In the same pan, combine canned whole tomatoes, Heinz steak sauce, and salt; cook uncovered for 25 minutes or until the sauce reaches desired thickness.
  5. Serve the meatballs and sauce over cooked hot buttered noodles.
