Shrimp Cornbread Dressing

A savory shrimp and cornbread dressing bursting with flavors from herbs, vegetables, and creamy mushroom soup, perfect for family dinners, holidays, or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. can cream of mushroom soup (optional)
  • 2 lb. cleaned shrimp
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • parsley
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 package Pepperidge Farm herb seasoning cornbread stuffing
  • 1 small prepared cornbread

Instructions

  1. Saute onions, celery, and bell pepper in margarine until tender.
  2. Add chopped shrimp and cook until shrimp is pink.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, parsley, and garlic, if desired.
  4. Mix in cornbread stuffing and prepared cornbread.
  5. Add well-beaten eggs mixed with 1 cup water to the mixture.
  6. Add additional water as needed until the mixture is soft.
  7. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F until browned, about 45 minutes.
