Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pkg. wonton skins
  • 1/2 lb. shrimp
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 to 2 lb. ground beef or pork
  • 1/2 c. green onions

Instructions

  1. Mince the garlic and green onions.
  2. Chop the shrimp into small pieces.
  3. In a bowl, combine shrimp, minced garlic, green onions, beaten egg, soy sauce, and ground meat if using; mix well.
  4. Place a small spoonful of filling onto each wonton skin.
  5. Moisten the edges of the wonton skin with water and fold to seal.
  6. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  7. Cook the wontons until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  8. Serve warm with dipping sauce if desired.
