Ingredients

  • 1 c. softened butter
  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. dry crumbled corn flakes
  • 3 c. oats
  • 1 1/2 c. unsifted flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. mace
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. powdered cloves
  • 4 oz. coconut
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1 c. walnuts

Instructions

  1. Cream together until smooth the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
  2. Add milk and vanilla, then beat and incorporate the eggs.
  3. Stir in the crumbled corn flakes and oats.
  4. Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, mace, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, then add to the mixture.
  5. Stir in the coconut, chocolate chips, and walnuts.
  6. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto a greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
