Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1/2 c. chopped green peppers
  • 1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 can (303) mixed or frozen vegetables
  • 1/4 c. catsup
  • 1/8 c. mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • toasted hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Crumble ground beef in a 2-quart casserole; add chopped onions and green peppers, then cook in the microwave on High for 8 minutes.
  2. Drain excess liquid from the beef mixture.
  3. Add tomato sauce, brown sugar, mixed or frozen vegetables, catsup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture.
  4. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
  5. Spoon the mixture onto the bottom half of toasted hamburger buns and cover with the top halves.
