Ingredients

  • 1 large angel food cake
  • 16 oz. sliced frozen strawberries
  • 3 oz. strawberry Jell-O package
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Beat the ingredients by hand until well mixed.
  2. Pour the mixture into a greased 6 1/2 x 11-inch Pyrex rectangle dish.
  3. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
  4. Allow to cool completely before frosting.
