Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. raw turkey, ground
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh bread crumbs
  • 1/3 cup minced onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 12 oz. jar chili sauce, divided
  • grated cheese for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine ground turkey, bread crumbs, minced onion, chopped green pepper, egg, mayonnaise, garlic powder, and pepper until well blended.
  3. Place the mixture into a loaf pan and spread evenly.
  4. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and spoon half of the chili sauce over the top of the loaf.
  6. Garnish with grated cheese if desired before serving.
