Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups oil
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 square unsweetened, melted chocolate
  • 1 cup raisins, soaked in water for 30 minutes
  • 2 cups pumpkin puree

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease two loaf pans.
  2. Mix all dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
  3. Make a well in the center and add the eggs, oil, melted chocolate, pumpkin puree, and soaked raisins; mix well until combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared loaf pans.
  6. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before removing from pans and serving.
