Tips & Substitutions

To enhance the flavor of your stew, consider adding a splash of red wine or Worcestershire sauce. For a thicker stew, you can mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with water and add it during the cooking process. If you prefer a different protein, try using chicken or turkey instead of beef, adapting the cooking times as necessary. This dish is perfect for meal prep, as it can be made in large batches.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this hearty stew with crusty bread or over a bed of mashed potatoes for a comforting meal. It pairs beautifully with Idelle'S Beef Stew and can be complemented by a side salad or steamed vegetables. For a complete dinner experience, consider offering a selection of cheeses and crackers on the side.

Storage & Reheating

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, you can freeze the stew for up to 3 months. To reheat, thaw overnight in the refrigerator if frozen, then heat on the stovetop over medium heat, adding a little water or broth if it thickens too much.
