Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp parsley flakes
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Cook and stir ground beef in a 10-inch skillet until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, chopped green bell pepper, 2 tablespoons flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, pepper, and parsley flakes.
  4. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Pour the beef mixture into an ungreased 13x9x2-inch rectangular pan.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  7. In a bowl, beat eggs, milk, vegetable oil, 1 cup flour, and 1/2 teaspoon salt until smooth.
  8. Pour the egg mixture over the cheese layer.
  9. Sprinkle with chopped onion.
  10. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until puffy and golden brown.
  11. Serve immediately.
