Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. large macaroni or flat lasagna noodles
  • 1 small clove garlic
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. pork sausage
  • 1/2 tsp. sage
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 c. fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c. cooked spinach
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni in salted water for 15 minutes; drain.
  2. Add a bit of oil to prevent sticking.
  3. Combine garlic, onion, ground beef, and pork sausage and sauté in oil for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Mix bread crumbs, cooked spinach, Parmesan cheese, and beaten egg, then add to the meat mixture.
