Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. dry milk
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Mix the sifted flour, baking powder, sugar, and dry milk together.
  2. Add enough water to form a slightly sticky dough.
  3. Pour the dough onto a floured surface and knead lightly.
  4. Pat the dough until it is manageable with flour.
  5. Cut the dough into squares or triangles about 3 x 4 inches.
  6. Place a small amount of cooked ground beef, chopped green pepper, and chopped onion in the center of each piece.
  7. Cover with another piece of dough and seal the edges by creasing together.
  8. Fry in hot oil until lightly browned on both sides.
