Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup dates
  • 1/2 cup prunes
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Boil raisins, dates, and prunes in 1 cup water for 5 minutes; then cool.
  2. Add cooled fruit, margarine, eggs, baking soda, vanilla, salt, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the mixture and stir well.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 40 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
