Tallarine is a hearty layered casserole combining seasoned ground meat, noodles, and melted cheese, topped with tomatoes and corn. Perfect for family dinners and comfort food lovers.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground meat
  • 2 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 bell pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 12 oz noodles
  • 1 lb grated American cheese
  • 1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can whole kernel corn
  • 1 can cream-style corn

Instructions

  1. Brown ground meat, diced onion, diced bell pepper, chili powder, and garlic salt in a large baking pan.
  2. Cook noodles according to package directions and layer half of them in the baking dish.
  3. Add half of the cooked meat mixture over the noodles.
  4. Sprinkle about half of the grated American cheese over the meat layer.
  5. Add a layer of Ro-Tel tomatoes with green chilies and whole kernel corn, dividing the contents evenly.
  6. Repeat the layering with remaining noodles, meat, and vegetables.
  7. Top with the remaining grated cheese.
  8. Cover the dish with foil to prevent the cheese from burning.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 325°F for approximately 1 hour.
