Ingredients

  • 4 qt. cabbage, chopped coarse
  • 2 green tomatoes, chopped
  • 10 to 12 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 red peppers, chopped
  • 2 lb. white or brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 3 pt. vinegar
  • 2 oz. white mustard seed
  • 1/2 oz. celery seed
  • 1/2 oz. turmeric powder

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large pot.
  2. Bring to a boil and cook for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Seal while hot in sterilized jars.
  4. Makes about 13 to 15 pints.
