Ingredients

  • 2 cups dried bread crumbs
  • 6 smoked sausage links
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced green pepper
  • 7 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can milk
  • 1 package shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Layer dried bread crumbs in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Dice smoked sausage links and sauté with diced onions and green peppers.
  3. Sprinkle the sautéed sausage, onions, and green peppers over the bread crumbs in the pan.
  4. Beat the eggs in a bowl and add Worcestershire sauce, cream of mushroom or chicken soup, and milk.
  5. Beat the mixture until smooth.
  6. Layer shredded Cheddar cheese over the sausage and vegetables.
  7. Pour the egg mixture into the pan over the ingredients.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour until set and golden.
