- Cook pasta in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes; drain.
- In a saucepan, cook onion and garlic in butter until tender.
- Add peeled and chopped tomatoes, parsley, chicken broth, oregano, basil, and salt; bring to a boil.
- Add broccoli to the tomato mixture.
- Cover and simmer for 4 minutes.
- Add cooked pasta to the tomato mixture and turn into an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
- Bake, covered, in a 375°F (190°C) oven for 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese over the top.
- Bake, uncovered, for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
