Ingredients

  • 8 slices white bread
  • 1 (6 1/2 oz.) can tuna
  • 1/2 tsp. grated onion
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • few grains cayenne
  • 1/4 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 c. coarsely grated Swiss cheese
  • paprika

Instructions

  1. Cut the bread into 24 (1 1/2-inch) rounds and toast on one side only.
  2. In a bowl, combine tuna, grated onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt, cayenne, mayonnaise, and beaten egg white.
  3. Fold in the grated Swiss cheese.
  4. Spread the tuna mixture onto the toasted side of each bread round.
  5. Sprinkle with paprika.
  6. Bake or broil until the topping is golden and bubbly.
