Ingredients

  • 10 oz. package frozen peas and carrots
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 1/4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 cups chopped, cooked chicken
  • 1 package (2-crust) refrigerator pie pastry

Instructions

  1. Microwave peas and carrots according to package directions.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan.
  3. Blend in flour.
  4. Add chicken broth, milk, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
  6. Add cooked chicken and peas and carrots.
  7. Cook until heated through.
  8. Spoon the mixture into a pastry-lined pie plate.
  9. Top with the remaining pastry.
  10. Trim and seal the edges; cut vents in the top crust.
  11. Bake at 400°F for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
