Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 lb. beef
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 4 medium potatoes, pared and cubed
  • 4 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 stalk celery, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1/4 tsp. rosemary

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients into the crockery vessel.
  2. Cut meat into large pieces if necessary to fit into the vessel.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
  4. Serve hot, removing the bay leaf before serving.
