Applesauce-Raisin Drops
Sweet and hearty applesauce-raisin drops combine warm spices with oats and raisins, perfect for a quick, wholesome snack or breakfast treat for the whole family.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda ⓘ
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg ⓘ
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves ⓘ
- 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar ⓘ
- 8 tablespoons margarine, softened ⓘ
- 1/3 cup brown Sugar Twin ⓘ
- 1 egg ⓘ
- 1 1/3 cups unsweetened applesauce ⓘ
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla ⓘ
- 1 3/4 cups quick cooking oats cereal ⓘ
- 1 cup seedless raisins ⓘ
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and spray cookie sheets with nonstick baking spray.
- Into a small bowl, sift together all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, and cream of tartar; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened margarine until fluffy.
- Blend in brown Sugar Twin and egg until well combined.
- Alternately add sifted dry ingredients and applesauce, blending well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla, oats, and raisins.
- Drop by tablespoons onto prepared cookie sheets and flatten slightly.
- Bake at 375°F for 12 to 15 minutes until cookies are firm.
