Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 8 tablespoons margarine, softened
  • 1/3 cup brown Sugar Twin
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/3 cups unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 3/4 cups quick cooking oats cereal
  • 1 cup seedless raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and spray cookie sheets with nonstick baking spray.
  2. Into a small bowl, sift together all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, and cream of tartar; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened margarine until fluffy.
  4. Blend in brown Sugar Twin and egg until well combined.
  5. Alternately add sifted dry ingredients and applesauce, blending well after each addition.
  6. Stir in vanilla, oats, and raisins.
  7. Drop by tablespoons onto prepared cookie sheets and flatten slightly.
  8. Bake at 375°F for 12 to 15 minutes until cookies are firm.
