Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1 (17 oz.) can lima beans, drained
  • 1 (15 1/2 oz.) can butter beans with molasses sauce and bacon
  • 1 (15 1/2 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 (15 oz.) can garbanzo beans, drained
  • 1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon style mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, sauté chopped onion, green pepper, and minced garlic in water until vegetables are tender.
  2. Combine cooked vegetables with drained lima beans, butter beans with molasses sauce and bacon, red kidney beans, garbanzo beans, and sliced water chestnuts in a large bowl.
  3. Add ketchup, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper; mix well.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a microwave-safe casserole dish.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes or until heated through and bubbly.
