Ingredients

  • 6 lb. beef chuck roast
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 3 large onions, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 14 oz. bottle catsup
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Cut beef into small cubes.
  2. Place beef in a roaster or Dutch oven.
  3. Combine the remaining ingredients in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
  4. Pour the sauce over the meat.
  5. Cover and bake in a 300°F oven for 6 hours or until the meat is tender enough to pull apart with a fork.
  6. Pull all the meat apart with forks.
  7. Simmer the pulled meat in the sauce for an additional 15 minutes.
  8. Serve and enjoy. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for several days or frozen indefinitely.
