Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups oats
  • 1 cup coconut and pecans

Instructions

  1. Mix ingredients in order: shortening, white sugar, light brown sugar, eggs, vanilla.
  2. Combine dry ingredients: plain flour, baking powder, soda, salt, oats, rice Krispies.
  3. Add dry mixture to wet mixture and mix well.
  4. Chill the dough.
  5. Roll the dough into balls and place on a greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 375°F for 15 minutes.
