Tips & Substitutions

For a crispier coating, try using Panko bread crumbs instead of regular ones. If you prefer a healthier option, consider using skinless turkey breasts instead of chicken. Adding herbs like basil or oregano to the garlic butter can enhance the flavor profile. Remember to seal the ends of the chicken rolls tightly to prevent cheese from leaking during baking.

Serving Suggestions

This dish pairs beautifully with fettuccine or noodles, which can be tossed in a light olive oil or garlic sauce. For a refreshing side, consider a crisp salad or steamed vegetables like green beans or broccoli. A light white wine served alongside enhances the flavors of the chicken and the garlic butter.

Storage & Reheating

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 15-20 minutes until warmed through. Alternatively, you can microwave individual portions, but this may soften the breading.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make Chicken Arlette ahead of time?

Yes, you can prepare the chicken rolls in advance and refrigerate them before baking. Just make sure to cover them well to avoid drying out. When ready to cook, allow them to sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before baking to ensure even cooking.

What can I substitute for mozzarella cheese?

If you're looking for a substitute for mozzarella, consider using provolone or gouda for a different flavor profile. For a lower-fat option, part-skim mozzarella works well. If you're avoiding dairy, try a plant-based cheese that melts well.

How do I know when the chicken is fully cooked?

To ensure the chicken is fully cooked, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature, which should reach 165°F (75°C). Additionally, the juices should run clear when the chicken is pierced, and the meat should no longer be pink.
