Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 lb. beef, sliced thin
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 c. soup stock
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1 c. green pepper, sliced lengthwise
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh chopped ginger
  • rice

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of oil and crushed garlic; cook until fragrant and browned.
  3. Remove garlic from the pan.
  4. Add sliced beef and fry for a few minutes until cooked through.
  5. Season with 1 teaspoon of salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Pour in 1 cup of soup stock and cook for a few seconds.
  7. Mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, and 2 tablespoons of water to create a slurry.
  8. Add the cornstarch mixture to the pan and cook, stirring slowly, until the sauce thickens.
  9. Add sliced green peppers and chopped fresh ginger; cook until heated through.
  10. Serve hot over rice.
