Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb fish (flounder, red snapper or grouper)
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 green onions
  • 1 green pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • pepper to taste
  • Tabasco or red chili sauce

Instructions

  1. Cut the fish into thin fillets and then cube into approximately 1/4-inch pieces.
  2. Add fresh lime juice to the fish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to marinate.
  3. Chop the red pepper, green pepper, tomato, and green onions.
  4. Mince the garlic.
  5. Combine the marinated fish with chopped vegetables and garlic in a bowl.
  6. Add olive oil, oregano, thyme, coriander, and pepper to taste.
  7. Mix well and add Tabasco or red chili sauce to enhance the spiciness.
  8. Serve chilled as a refreshing appetizer or light main dish.
