Ingredients

  • 1 cup oleo
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups crushed cornflakes
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 6 ounces chocolate chips
  • 1 cup nuts

Instructions

  1. Melt oleo and shortening; cream with brown sugar and white sugar.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  3. Sift together flour, baking powder, and soda.
  4. Stir in oats, crushed cornflakes, coconut, raisins, chocolate chips, and nuts.
  5. The batter will be stiff.
  6. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12 to 15 minutes.
