Cornish Meat Pie

- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the pie crust according to package instructions and line a 9-inch pie dish with one crust.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced onions and cook until translucent.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Stir in diced carrots, peeled and diced potato, and crushed garlic. Cook for a few minutes.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir well to combine.
- Gradually add beef stock, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Add chopped fresh basil and marjoram (or dried herbs), season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
- Cover with the second pie crust, seal the edges, and cut small slits on top to vent.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
