Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine when cooking the apples. If Granny Smith apples are unavailable, try Honeycrisp or Fuji for a sweeter taste. You can substitute sweet potatoes with regular potatoes or even butternut squash for a different texture. This dish is perfect for using leftover chicken from other recipes like Chicken Noodle Soup Dump.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this creamy chicken dish over a bed of rice or alongside a fresh green salad to balance the richness. It pairs beautifully with Brussels Sprouts With Vidalia Onion Butter for a delightful contrast in flavors. A light apple cider or crisp white wine complements the dish well.

Storage & Reheating

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place in a skillet over medium heat, covering to retain moisture, or microwave in short intervals, stirring occasionally until heated through. Avoid reheating multiple times to maintain quality.
