Tips & Substitutions

For added crunch, consider using a mix of different nuts like almonds or walnuts instead of just salted peanuts. You can also substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream for a lighter version. If you prefer a tangier dressing, increase the tarragon vinegar or add a splash of lemon juice.

Serving Suggestions

This Crunchy Peanut Cole Slaw makes a delightful side dish for grilled meats or fish. It pairs beautifully with Goodin' Puddin' for a complete meal. Serve it alongside BBQ dishes or as a topping for sandwiches to add freshness and crunch.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The vegetables may become a bit soggy, so it's best to serve fresh. If reheating, gently warm in the microwave without cooking the cabbage further.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make this cole slaw ahead of time?

Yes, you can prepare the vegetables and dressing a day in advance. Just combine them just before serving to maintain the crunchiness of the veggies. This will help the flavors meld beautifully without losing texture.

What can I substitute for the mayonnaise?

You can use vegan mayonnaise, or try a combination of Greek yogurt and olive oil for a healthier option. This will keep the creaminess while making it lighter, perfect for those looking for vegetarian recipes.

Is there a way to make this recipe spicier?

Absolutely! Add a diced jalapeño or a pinch of cayenne pepper to the dressing for some heat. Alternatively, incorporating a splash of hot sauce can elevate the flavor without overwhelming the dish.
