Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups grated cheese (Cheddar or Swiss)
  • pinch of pepper
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup chopped green peppers
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 2 (4 oz.) cans chopped mushrooms
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat; drain off fat and set aside.
  2. Blend milk, mayonnaise, beaten eggs, and cornstarch until smooth.
  3. Add chopped green peppers, chopped mushrooms, chopped onion, grated cheese, pepper, nutmeg, and garlic salt to the mixture.
  4. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pastry shell.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes until set and golden.
