Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean hamburger
  • 1 (16 oz.) can V-8 or tomato juice
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1 Tbsp. basil
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can green beans, drained
  • 1 can corn, drained
  • 1 can carrots, drained
  • 1 can potatoes, drained and cubed
  • 1 box frozen peas

Instructions

  1. Brown the lean hamburger with chopped celery, onion, and green pepper in a skillet; drain well.
  2. Place the cooked meat, tomatoes, tomato sauce, V-8 juice, and all vegetables and seasonings into a large crock-pot or Dutch oven.
  3. Simmer on low for several hours until flavors meld and vegetables are tender.
  4. Enjoy!
