"Get Well" Soup

Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean hamburger ⓘ
- 1 (16 oz.) can V-8 or tomato juice ⓘ
- 1 small can tomato sauce ⓘ
- 1 can stewed tomatoes ⓘ
- 2 stalks celery, chopped ⓘ
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. parsley ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. basil ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper ⓘ
- 2 bay leaves ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce ⓘ
- 1 can green beans, drained ⓘ
- 1 can corn, drained ⓘ
- 1 can carrots, drained ⓘ
- 1 can potatoes, drained and cubed ⓘ
- 1 box frozen peas ⓘ
Instructions
- Brown the lean hamburger with chopped celery, onion, and green pepper in a skillet; drain well.
- Place the cooked meat, tomatoes, tomato sauce, V-8 juice, and all vegetables and seasonings into a large crock-pot or Dutch oven.
- Simmer on low for several hours until flavors meld and vegetables are tender.
