Ingredients

  • 2 lb. pork shoulder steak
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 pkg. brown gravy mix
  • 1 1/4 c. hot water
  • 1/4 c. honey
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 4 carrots, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, cut into 6 wedges
  • 1 green pepper, cut in squares

Instructions

  1. Cut pork shoulder into 1-inch cubes, discarding the bones.
  2. Brown the pork in oil in a large skillet, stirring frequently, for 15 minutes.
  3. Combine the brown gravy mix, hot water, honey, soy sauce, red wine vinegar, ginger, and garlic salt in a bowl.
  4. Add the gravy mixture to the skillet with the pork.
  5. Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
  6. Add sliced carrots, onion wedges, and green pepper squares to the skillet.
  7. Cook for at least 10 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  8. Serve hot with rice.
