Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup shallots
  • bell pepper
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 bouillon cubes
  • salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • dash of garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Kitchen Bouquet
  • pepper
  • 1 cup rice
  • sausage or chicken breasts (boneless)

Instructions

  1. In a 3-quart dish, add oil and chopped onion. Cook in microwave for 4 minutes.
  2. Add shallots, bell pepper, water, bouillon cubes, salt, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, Kitchen Bouquet, and pepper. Microwave for 3 minutes until water boils.
  3. Add rice and cooked meat to the dish. Cover and microwave at 50% power for 12 minutes. Stir the mixture.
  4. Return to microwave at 50% power and cook for another 12 minutes.
  5. Let stand for 8 to 10 minutes before serving.
