Ingredients

  • raw spinach
  • iceberg lettuce
  • fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 small onion, chopped fine
  • 1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 cup wine vinegar
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon until crispy, then crumble and set aside.
  2. Slice the fresh mushrooms and chop the onion, green pepper, and celery.
  3. In a bowl, combine the wine vinegar, ketchup, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and oil to make the dressing.
  4. Add grated carrot or any other vegetables you like to the dressing if desired.
  5. In a large salad bowl, combine raw spinach and iceberg lettuce.
  6. Add the sliced mushrooms, chopped onion, green pepper, and chopped celery to the greens.
  7. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
  8. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the top before serving.
