Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger or ground turkey
  • 32 oz. jar Ragu spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 c. water or red wine
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. dried basil
  • 16 oz. Ricotta or cottage cheese
  • 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley, dried
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 8 uncooked noodles
  • 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese, sliced or shredded

Instructions

  1. Cook the hamburger or ground turkey in a skillet until fully browned.
  2. Add the spaghetti sauce, garlic powder, and dried basil to the cooked meat and stir to combine.
  3. Cover the mixture with plastic wrap and microwave on full power for 7 to 8 minutes, or until bubbly.
  4. Layer cooked noodles with the meat sauce, ricotta or cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, beaten egg, pepper, and mozzarella cheese in a microwave-safe dish.
  5. Repeat layers as desired and microwave until heated through and cheese is melted.
