Macadamia Nut Stuffing

Ingredients
- 4 oz. fresh pork sausage ⓘ
- 1 1/2 c. chopped celery ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. minced onion ⓘ
- 1 tsp. chicken bouillon
- 2/3 c. warm water ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. ground sage ⓘ
- 1/8 tsp. pepper ⓘ
- 2 c. corn bread stuffing mix ⓘ
- 2 c. regular stuffing mix ⓘ
- 2 c. rye bread, toasted and cubed ⓘ
- 1 c. chopped macadamia nuts, toasted ⓘ
- 1 1/2 c. milk ⓘ
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, cook the sausage, chopped celery, and minced onion until the sausage is browned and the vegetables are tender.
- Drain off the excess fat from the saucepan.
- Dissolve the chicken bouillon in the warm water, then add this mixture to the sausage and vegetable mixture.
- Stir in the ground sage and pepper.
- Add the cubed bread, toasted macadamia nuts, and milk as needed to moisten the stuffing.
- Mix thoroughly and serve hot.
